Pain...

I'm in pain, and with way too much to do. My shoulder did not like the large number of reps I did the other day to it and my shoulder has been complaining about it all day (so have I!). But, I am pushing through the pain. It has been a long day. I went grocery shopping and now have a fridge restocked with healthy food. I also volunteer for the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life event in Ashland, OR. I have the busiest task for the relay so I had to spend some time doing that tonight. 0500 is gonna be here way too soon! Other than that I ate pretty well today. The big thing is remembering the snack mid morning and mid afternoon. I'm at work and usually up to something and before I know it its lunch time and I haven't eaten in 4-5 hours. Gotta keep that metabolism up!

Working out went pretty well today. My legs hurt. I managed to do 6 full laps in the pool with limited breaks, 30 minutes on the bike at a minimum of 50-60 watts, 10 minutes on the treadmill(legs hurt), and 15 minutes on the elliptical(easier on the legs).

Another helpful tip via igoogle: Substitute butter for applesauce when baking it will save you, on average, 90 calories!!!

I'm off to bed. Gym at 0500 in the morning.

  1. Hey ... another great day it sounds like!! Careful with over doing it on your body too fast!! You have to sometimes ease into a rigorous workout so you don't cause an injury! I'm sure you know this.. just a reminder! Don't forget to stretch and then ice or use a heating pad on any sore muscles ... I forget what option is best but you can look it up! Great job Ralph ... You've stuck with this longer then some who only make it maybe a week!!
